What is meditation?
Meditation is a state in which we are still and focused, at one with our own nature and in harmony with life.
This gives rise to increased awareness, which some people call 'mindfulness', but meditation is not thinking: it is being.
Learning to meditate makes us sharply alert, open and responsive without thinking. It gives us the tools to live full and rewarding lives with calm confidence and reassurance.
Studies have shown that meditation as part of daily life practice is the most effective way of dealing with distracting and disturbing thoughts and upsetting emotions.
Learning how to meditate in the context of daily life practice develops inner strength, courage and the energy to cope with our emotions.
